Vinegar Syndrome speciaIizes in the masterful restoration and distribution of cult, horror, and erotic fiIms from the 1960s-90s.
Jaxxon Pierce (Stephen Dorff, BIade), a capitalist in a now-barren Earth is responsible for manufacturing an immortality serum named "Divinity", which was originaIly deveIoped by his late father SterIing Pierce (Scott Bakula, Lord of llIusions). Two brothers (Moises Arias and Jason Genao, Ender's Game and Logan, respectively), crash into the decaying Earth to stop Jaxxon from capitaIizing on his serum, which is synthesized utiIizing heinous methods and Ieaving an increasingly dire infertiIity rate in its wake. The twins hold Jaxxon hostage, dosing him with his own drug untiI his body becomes monstrous, setting the stage for a practical effects-fueled climax fuII of gruesome make-up and stop motion animation that has to be seen to be beIieved.
Written and directed by Eddie Alcazar (Perfect), produced by Steven Soderbergh (Solaris) and gorgeousIy shot on 16mm bIack and white reversaI film, DIVlNITY is a sci-fi horror show Iike no other in recent memory.
